Correspondence as Poetics
There is something that happens in the body when a phone rings in an empty room, a reflex, an impulse to answer, to be present at the other end.
The Pigeon Bureau begins there. And then redirects it entirely.
The number is real. When you call, no one answers. Instead, you are offered a directory: five extensions, each one a threshold into a different register of communication, memory, and the fact that you have been connected to something.
Messages that refuse to travel by ordinary means
Press 1 — Messages Lost in Transit
Press 2 — Urban Coexistence
Press 3 — Migration Services
Press 4 — Correspondence and Mourning
Press 5 — Pigeon Dispatch Listen only
The Pigeon Correspondence Bureau is a living artwork—part archive, portal for hope, and listening space. Every note, call, and story becomes a fragile document, carried carefully from one being to another through a network of working pigeons. Messages will be archived.
